Commercial power to the building is backed-up by four (4) 1100 KW and one (1) 1250 KW Emerson diesel generators connected in tandem. Fuel for the generators is stored in (3) 30,000 gallon underground storage tanks. The generators start automatically, within 5 to 7 seconds of a power failure. The 90,000 gallons of fuel is sufficient to power the generators for approximately 30 days without the need for refueling.
