All AC power provided to customers in the IX2 Center facility is backed-up by one of the building’s emergency generators. The generators power is fed tot eh space by bus duct and controlled by an Automatic Transfer Switch. The transfer from commercial to generator power typically takes 5 to 7 seconds. IX2 Center also maintains a UPS plant that is available for customer use as requested on individual circuits.
